Says he is destined by God to 'RULE NIGERIA IN 2019'
The governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, who said he was not bothered by the zoning formula of his party (PDP), claims that 'God has destined him to the President of Nigeria come 2019.' He promised to tackle corruption if elected.
The controvertial governor made this known at a press conference he organised this Thursday in Abuja, where he declared that he was the best presidential candidate of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019. He, according to Punch, said he remained the best candidate of the PDP having defeated two incumbent governors in his state and having been a governor under 3 presidents.
“By the grace of God, I am the longest-serving governor in Nigeria today, having served under three Presidents – Obasanjo, Jonathan, and now Buhari,” Fayose bosted. “My party (PDP) leaders, standing before you is Peter (The Rock) Ayodele Fayose, the man already destined by God to take Nigeria out of the present political and economic stagnation”.
Fayose who said he is like the Biblical Joseph, added that he would become what (The President in 2019) God has ordained him to be - declaring that the days of packaging governors and other individuals as president has ended. “We don’t want packaged governors or president again. This time around, we need a very agile, and experienced fellow like me,” confident Fayose added.
