I hate pastors and I'll knock one of them out soon – Burna Boy threatenes

Burna boy controversy

It’s no longer news that controversial Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer, Burna Boy (real name Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu) is well known for making headlines for all the wrong reasons. What is news is that he has openly declared his hatred for all pastors and/ or preachers - adding that he 'might have to knock 1 of them the f***k out 1 of these days, God will be happy' with him for beating them (preachers of the gospel) up.

"Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm." Psalms 105:15

The 26-year-old took to twitter to threatened violence against the preachers of the gospel when he wrote:

“The way I genuinely dislike pastors, preachers, etc. I might have to knock 1 of them the f***k out 1 of these days. I know God will be happy in me.”

He also advised his fans to 'free themselves by discovering truth through research and questioning'.

“Go and find truth for yourselves. Research, ask questions. Free yourself,” he concluded.

Burna Boy is one artist who can’t stay clear of controversies.

In May, Ebuoluwa (which means God's Gift in English) was banned from performing at all events or recording in the United States of America (USA) and CANADA by US Supreme Federal Court in New York for failing to show up for 2016 USA & Canada Tour.

Earlier this year, in response to a twitter post by music channel giant, MTV Base, Burna Boy threatened to block MTV Base on twitter for comparing him to Patoranking.

In the twitter post advertising one of their weekly programs, MTV Base wrote, “Retweet for Burnaboy and like for Patorankin. Tune in to #basefaceoff every Thursday and Friday at 10am to watch your favourite artistes go head to head.”

Burna Boy, who was obviously offended with MTV Base’s post, took twitter to respond.
“Lol, stop this, please, I will soon block MTV for this”, he threatened.

In 2015, he threatened to cause physical harm to bloggers who, he claimed, were writing false stories about him. “These bloggers been writing shit thinking it’s a game until I see you all face to face one day and hospitalize or murk you.”

Two years ago, he posed with a gun and shared the picture on his Instagram page. In the caption he wrote: “This is not a movie or music video. Trust me, daddy”.

Early in 2015, he threatened Buffalo Soulja, a Zimbabwean artiste after they were reportedly involved in a pool side fracas in South Africa.

That same year, Orbeat, the producer of his hit song Soke accused him of owing him production efforts and allegedly releasing the single Acting Bad without his consent.
