Reports have it that 43-year-old Burress, was arrested Friday morning by Monroe County sheriff's deputies on two counts of forcible touching.
What exactly is 'forcible touching'?
It is a misdemeanor and is defined in the state penal law as forcibly touching "the sexual or other intimate parts of another person." The arrest was confirmed by the sheriff's office spokesman, Cpl. John Helfer, who told the press thatWho Paul Burress was arrested
Burress "turned himself in company of his lawyer."Helfer said no warrant was issued for Burress' arrest and his lawyer worked with law enforcement prior to Friday when he was processed and given an appearance ticket. He will be arraigned in the Henrietta Town Court on Tuesday, September 19, 2017.
And if found guilty, Fight pastor Burress could spend up to 12 months in prison.
Two adult females from separate incidents, made the charges against the pastor back in February, according to reports.
It is however difficult to say if Burress is still a pastor of Victory Church in New York, where he serves or used to serve as a seniour pastor. No official release form his church yet.
